Northstar community shows signs of recovery

The Glades at Northstar California

The Truckee/Lake Tahoe area has seen some interesting times over the last 12 months. While opposing and resisting truths and ideas in our area dual it out, occasionally there comes a time when I feel the need to lighten the load, share some positive news, and introduce new concepts. The latest concept comes from local developer East West Partners in a new on-mountain community called The Glades, located at Northstar California. The concept is not new; in fact, EWP just mimicked what worked so well in Bachelor Gulch, and developed a smaller scale product within the Northstar ski resort. What results is an entirely unique neighborhood within the Lake Tahoe region, and dare I say, within California: 25 ski in/ski out homesites are cleverly integrated into the ski resort, and developers were thoughtful with the design of 3 ski back trail access, all culminating in the lift lines of the Timberline lift.
