Tahoe WonderGirl celebrates Good Health!

Looking for something to do this weekend that is great for families? Girls on the Run will host the Tahoe WonderGirl 5K event at Truckee River View Sports Park on June 8 starting at 9 a.m. A non-competitive, family-friendly run/walk, the event is open to Girls on the Run members as well as family, friends and community members who want to join in on the celebration of good health. Day-of registration is $20. Girls on the Run/Sierras is a local chapter of a nationally organized group focused on educating young elementary school aged girls on the benefits of exercise and good health habits. Coaches and mentors support the young participants weekly and provide an extra shoulder to lean on or ear to bend.
